WorldSkills Europe appointed Dita Traidas as the new President

At the General Assembly on October 19th a new Board of Directors was elected.

Dita Traidas, Official Delegate from Latvia, was elected for the position of President. She has been on the Board of Directors for four years and will now step up the be the very first female President in a WorldSkills organisation.

Dita Traidas says: ”I’m very honored to be elected as President and to work together with a great team. The main focus in the coming years will be on quality in skills competitions, member engagement and to reach out to stakeholders promoting skills – all with the purpose to strengthen the skills movement in the European context.”

The Board of Directors will consist of another 6 members

  • Guillaume Suteau, France
  • Paul McGuire, UK
  • Francis Hourant, Belgium
  • Teija Ripattila, Finland

WorldSkills Europe is a growing organisation and the General Assembly welcomed Poland as its 29th member. The next Euroskills event will take place in Budapest 2018, September 26-28.
